Robert “Rob” Ottinger, age 78, of Parrottsville, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson and Cressie Ottinger; brother, Bill Ottinger; granddaughter, Misty Ottinger and niece, Christy Turner. He is survived by his sons Robert “Bobby” Ottinger, Jr. and wife Trish of Parrottsville, Terry Ottinger and wife Betty of Newport; daughter, Brenda Webb and friend Everett Ellison of Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Molly Ottinger, Gene “Dib” and Helen Ottinger all of Newport, James and Faye Ottinger of White Pine and Carl and Marie Ottinger of Bybee; sisters and brother-in-law, Flossie Vick of Bybee, Mary Cody of White Pine, Pearl Caldwell of Greeneville; Rose and John Okie of Jacksonville, Florida, Willie Kate Messer of Parrottsville; sister-in-law, Lou Ottinger of White Pine; four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He will also be missed by his C.B. family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Shepherd and Rev. Ron Carrell officiating. The burial 11:00 am Friday, July 20, 2012 in Harned Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
