Sarah Margaret Cashen Strom February 24, 1940 – November 7, 2014
GOD GAVE US YOU;
Margaret Strom went to be with her Lord Friday, November 07, 2014, with family and special friends by her bedside at Newport Medical Center. Margaret had fought a long battle with numerous medical issues, but through it all praised the Lord for bringing her through many difficult times and thanking him for all his blessings. She was preceded in death by husband, Franklin “Dee” Strom, parents Louvanchia and Robert Cashen, and step-daughter, Linda Cutshaw. She is survived by children Sandra Jenkins and husband, Mike of Newport, TN, Jeffery Strom and wife, Penny of Del Rio, TN, Terry Strom and wife, Tracy of Parrottsville, TN, Angie Jenkins and D. J. Nelson of Sevierville, TN, Debbie Fisher and husband, Bobby of Newport, TN, and son-in-law, R. J. Cutshall of Mars Hill, NC. Also survived by Grandchildren, Daren Watkins, Dawn Jenkins, Brandy Strom, Zackery Strom, Chasity Strom and finance’ Dustin Fine, Hunter Strom, Robert Fisher and wife, Becky, Ronnie Cutshall and wife, Chris, and Macon Cutshall, Great Grandchildren, Sabra Holt, Bella Watkins, Dallas Jenkins, Destiny Jenkins, Cayden Fisher, Sierra Fisher, Malachi Fisher, Chelsea Fisher, Andrew Cutshall, Gracie Cutshall and Ryan Cutshall, Sisters, Judy Whitson of Kannapolis, NC, Peggy Haggins and Tom Dial of Midland, NC, and Brother Robert “Speedy” Cashen and wife, Dorothy of Del Rio, Tennessee and numerous other nieces, nephew and extended family. Throughout her life she has been blessed with special friends like Gary Jenkins, Mike Jenkins, Marilyn Thomas and Ola Ramsey among many. Many thanks to all of the church families that have uplifted Margaret in prayer through this last medical event and their prayers and support that have brought great comfort to the family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 and the funeral service will follow at Manes Funeral Home in Newport, TN at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Tommy Ball and Brother Mike Jenkins officiating. Burial will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Clark Cemetery at Deep Gap at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com Manes Funeral Home in charge.
