U.S. Veteran Joseph (Joe) Tyler Clark, age 75, of Newport, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Margaret Clark; brother, Tommy Clark; sister, Sue Clark. He is survived by his wife, Drema Clark, of Newport; son, Joe and April Clark of Ohio; daughter, Jill and Paul Higgins of Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Treva Clark of Newport, Robin (Bo) and Gail Clark, of Knoxville; grandchildren, Tyler Clark Higgins and Julia Margaret Higgins. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Union Cemetery with Rev. Jim Loftis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Manes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Newport Animal Shelter, 420 Humane Road, Newport, TN 37821.
