Earl C. Etherton, age 62, of Dandridge, passed away at his home on November 5, 2002, after a long, courageous battle with OPCA.
He was a General Foreman of Phillips Consumer Electronics in Greeneville, TN, until he became disabled in 1995. He was employed by Magnavox, now Phillips Consumer Electronics in Jefferson City in 1961 and transferred to Morristown and later Greeneville.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Etherton.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Etherton, of Dandridge; parents, Cleo and Pauline Etherton, of Dandridge; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Tony Duncan and Robin and George Gantte; grandchildren, Karie Duncan, Allison and Weston Gantte; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and June Etherton, of Dandridge and George and Carolyn Etherton, of Dandridge; sister-in-law, Brenda Etherton, of Newport; brother-in-law and wife, Dale and Joan Hensley, of Dallas, NC.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2002, at Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum, with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Manes Funeral Home.
