Josephine N. Lovell, 89, of Newport, went to be with the Lord at home with her loving family in Newport on Thursday, June 13, 2013. She was kind to everyone, humble and worked hard her whole life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Frank Lovell, mother Dona Gray Holt, and father Jonas Holt, brothers Jonas and George Slover Holt, sisters Cansada Holt and Evelyn Trexler.
She is survived by her children: Carroll Frank Lovell (Lois) of Mountain City, TN., Judy A. Pearce (Kirk) of Marietta, GA., John M. Lovell (Melissa) of Newport and Kathy Carter (Eddie) of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren Alan and Marcie Lovell of Roanoke, VA., Andrew Lovell of Mountain City, TN., Tara Alexander Calvo (Nando) of Marietta, GA., Adam, Amanda, Seth and Caden Lovell of Newport, and Justin and Brett Carter of Woodstock, GA; great-grandchildren McKenna and Alexandra Calvo of Atlanta, GA and Nathan Lovell of Roanoke, VA., and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with funeral following at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Creek Cemetery.
