Buddy Huff, Sr., 90, of Newport, went to be with his Lord Sunday, December 8, 2002 at his residence.
He was a Baptist by faith and was employed by Stokely Van Camp before his retirement.
His wife, Ruby (Taylor) Huff; parents, James N. and Nannie Lou (O'Dell) Huff; son-in-law, Jack A. McMillian; and grandson, Nile Huff Ricker, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Lynne McMillian, of Newport, and Ella Jane Holland and her husband, Lacy K., of Greeneville; sons, Buddy Huff, Jr. and his wife, Audrey, of Newport, and Jerry A. Huff and his wife, Aileen, of Newport; sister, Marie Lancaster, of Newport; brother, Charles Huff and his wife, Birtell, of Newport; grandchildren: Francis Standifer and her husband Donnie, Michael McMillian and his wife Glenda, Terry Booker, Perry Booker and his wife Julia, Larry Booker and his wife Lisa, Kevin Huff, and Katrina Huff; great-grandchildren: Jennifer Booker, Nathaniel Booker, Lindsey Sarah McMillian, and Jacob Chase McMillian; and special friend, Andrew Thomas.
Mr. Huff will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ransom Hall, Rev. Tim Jenkins, and Chad Gregg officiating.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, December 10, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service.
