Timothy Carl Duncan, age 53, of Newport passed away suddenly Monday, December 19, 2011. Tim was known to others as an avid hunter, who had a big heart and was always able to make them laugh. Those closest to him knew he was happiest while in the woods early in the morning with a gun in his hand. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Rose Duncan; brother, Benny Duncan; and nephew Josh Duncan. He is survived by his daughters, Chelsie “Skeeter” Duncan and Brittany “Tally” Duncan; sister, Susan (Andy) Chrisman; brothers, Tony (Sherry) Duncan and Kenneth Duncan and Tammy Wadell; several nieces, nephews, family, friends and hunting buddies. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 23, 2011 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
