McNABB, MILDRED JOHNSON - 86, of Oak Ridge, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday July 26, 2000, in the Methodist Medical Center after a brief illness. Mildred is survived by George Edwin McNabb, her husband of 59 years; and two daughter, Patricia McNabb and her husband, Don Gold, of Chicago, Ill., and by Carolyn McNabb Simpson, of Toronto, Canada; two sisters, Margaret Johnson of Rockmart, Ga., Martha Johnson Meeks of Douglas, Ga.; and by three brothers, Louis Johnson o Flagler Beach, Fla., Ray Johnsonand his wife, Virginia, of Lilburn, Ga., and Herbert Johnson and his wife, Elizabeth of Cedartown, Ga. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Paul Berkenstock and his wife, Angie, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., George Simpson of Boston, Mass., David Simpson and his wife, Toniya, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and by Shanda Simpson of Toronto, Canada; and one great granddaughter, Megan Lou Berkenstock of Brooklyn Park, Minn. Two of her brothers died earlier, Fred Johnson of Winatche, Wash., and Thomas Johnson and his wife, Geraldine, of Rockmart, Ga. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday July 29, 2000 in the First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. Burial in the Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge or to the Agape Room or library of the First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. Visitation hours are 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 28, in the McCarty-Martin Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, and in the FirstBaptist Church of Oak Ridge on Saturday July 29, from 1-2 p.m.
