(November 16, 1911 - October 3, 2007) Mary Louise Netherton Palmer, age 95, of Newport, passed away, Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnett Fredrick Palmer. Survivors include, Lillian Smith Bolton, Sarah, Susan, Robert and Christopher, Francesca Stallings all of Knoxville, Harold W. Bolton of Rockwood; also, Roger W. Smith, Attorney of Newport; also cousins, Lucille Bost, Winston Salem, NC, Irene Wiley of Kingsport; and other beloved cousins; special friends including, Sarah Sheffey of Newport, Adeline Foster of Chattanooga, Ilalee McMillian and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Palmer, all of Newport. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr, Charles Boggan and Dr. Rich Lloyd officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 6, 2007 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
