Gary L. Stienbarger, son of Leroy and Ruth Steinbarger, was born Oct. 13, 1947 in Independence, Missouri. He departed this life on June 17, 2005 at the age of 57.
He was very imaginative and left home after high school to see the world. He joined the military branch of the Navy and served his country patriotically from 1966-1970. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He could do anything he set his mind to doing and started a beautiful family when he married his wife on January 30, 1971.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Steinbarger of Licking, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Lori; daughter, Karri and husband Dwayne Ogle; son, Michael; mother Ruth of Licking, Mo.; sister, Sue and Jack Daniels of Licking, Mo.; and brother, Larry Stienbarger and wife Bea of Licking, Mo.
Gary had spent the last 18 years as owner, with his wife, of Sevierville Jewelers. He possessed a very strong and honorable work ethic and served his community proudly as a jeweler and business owner. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He enjoyed all of the good times spent together with his family and special friends. His influence to pursue dreams has been left in our hearts and he will be missed.
Graveside service and interment will be 11 AM Monday at Middle Creek Cemetery. Rev. W.W. Cope officiating. Military honors by American Legion Post 104. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
