Danny Ray Valentine, age 53, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007, at his home in Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of Lane Avenue Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his mother and dad, Erisa and Creed Valentine, and brother, Larry Valentine. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tracy Cowman Valentine; daughters, Jackie Danielle Valentine and fiancée, Elijah Johnson, and Chelsa Anne Valentine; grandson, Sebastian Johnson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Euretha and Bud Carson, Scottie and Norman Derry, of Newport; Johnnie Kate and J.R. Davis, of Dublin, Va.; Pat and Mike Hightower, of Dandridge; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Vana Valentine, of Chilhowie, Va., Jack and Miriam Valentine, of Dandridge; brother, Jimmy Valentine, of Cookeville; half brothers and wives, Hack and Tresa Valentine, of Morristown, and Bobby and Ann Valentine, of Newport; half sister and husband, Sandy and Ron Etherton, of Newport; sister-in-law, Megan Valentine, of Wauerika, Okla.; brothers-in-law, Will Cowman and Craig Cowman, of Columbus, Ohio; special friend, Dale Blackwell; nieces, nephews, and many other friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. Hal Kirk and the Rev. Randy Swann officiating. Internment will be at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, August 12, 2007, at Catons Grove Cemetery in Cosby. Brown Funeral Home in charge.
