WANDA LOIS BANKS NEWMAN NICHOLS, age 57 of Dandridge, TN passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a member of Talbott Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, Maxie A. Banks. Survived by sons, Michael W. Newman of South Carolina and Adam C. Newman of Jefferson City, TN; daughter, Leanne Newman Carpenter of Dandridge, TN; four grandchildren; mother, Dora (Dean) Holland Banks of Jefferson City; sister, Anne Fannin of Dandridge; brothers, John Banks of Rutledge and Dail Banks of Jefferson City; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Jerry Utsman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date.
