BRANNER, VIVIAN - age 91 of Knoxville passed away at Fort Sanders Hospital, March 18, 2011 after a six month stay at NHC Fort Sanders Nursing Home. Mrs. Branner was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church since the age of eleven. She was employed by Vicky Swan until her late eighties which she enjoyed dearly. Not only did she devote her life to her work, she also dedicated her life to God and her entire family. Vivian had a great sense of humor and you could always find laughter in any situation. She had a way with words that brightened our lives and will never be forgotten. Mrs. Branner enjoyed flower gardening and cooking which kept her very busy. She also had a passion for fishing and could be found any day of the week on the many fishing banks in Knoxville . Vivian taught everyone she came in contact with how to fish, and embrace the peace and joy it brings. Preceded in death by, husband, Pearson (Pig) Branner; daughter Anna Marie Branner; parents Esley and Mamie Clemons; brothers, June, Fred, and Hubert Clemons. She leaves to rejoice in her memory children: Pearson "Doonie" Branner, Wilma Branner-Davis(Roy), Michigan, Kenneth Branner, Texas, Geraldine Abrams (Harold Kline), Bernice Willingham, Marvin Branner (Julia), and Robert Branner; Eighteen grandchildren, Tammy Locke-Constantennia (Michael), Terry Strickland (Tank), Tonya Locke, Billie Burrell, Leanna Leamy, Connie Abrams Gallimore (John), Crystal Abrams, Sonya Abrams-Dokes, Larry Willingham (Kim), Vincent Willingham (Cristy), Marcus Willingham, Nikki Branner-Miller (Michael) Cynthia Branner, Marvin Branner Jr., Jason Branner, Deborah, Kenneth Branner and Leah Branner. Twenty-three great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren; devoted sister, Eloise Carter; sisters-in-law, Anna Bell Nance and Sue Clemons; brothers, William Clemons (Evelyn), Virginia, and Jimmy Clemons; best friend, Ethel Mae Alston, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
