Mary Evelyn Clark Lee, 84, of Seymour, TN, passed away September 16. She was born 8/3/1930 to the late Raymond and Myrtle Clark. Mary was a long-time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, where she was active in the youth ministry for many years. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy C Lee, brother Douglas Clark, sister Margaret Wood, and brothers-in-law Edward Ray, Mike Wood, Sam Price, and Glenn Swanson. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law Alvin and Linda Lee and Danny and Karen Lee, daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and Thomas Evans and Jana and Doug Sudduth, brother Edward Clark, sisters Janet Price and Ina Swanson, sisters-in-law Kate Ray and Lois Massey, grandchildren Brian (Shawn) Lee, Laura (Patrick) Tinney, Jeromy (Heather) Johnson, Brooke (Justin) Huffaker, Jessica (Stefan) Andreas, David and Derik Sifford, and Addison Evans, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. To many, she was simply known as Mammaw. Special thanks are extended to the UT Memorial Hospital staff and caregivers at Williamsburg Villas. Receiving of friends will occur Friday, September 19, 5:00-7:00 PM, at Valley Grove Baptist Church, 9000 Sevierville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920, with funeral service to follow, Reverends Kenneth Armstrong and Chad Rittenhouse officiating. Graveside services to be held at Highland South Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 20. Pallbearers include Brian Lee, Jeromy Johnson, David Sifford, Greg Clark, Michael Wood, and Barry Ray.
