Wilhite, Hazel H. (Susie), born June 15, 1914, went to her heavenly home on July 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John H. Wilhite; parents, F.A. and Ida Henry; sisters, Cleo Henry, Reva Henry, Hallie Moore; brothers, H.O. Henry, Denzel Henry; niece, Haldine Bull. Survivors include nephews Roger Henry and wife Frances of Tallahassee, FL, Elvin Henry and wife Nelda of Concord, NC, Dan Collins and wife Carolyn of Luttrell, TN, Bryant Collins and wife Donna of Newnan, Ga. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Wilhite's caregiver Emma McMillan. Hazel grew up in Kodak and then lived in Florida with husband Johnny for 30 years before returning to TN in 1981. She was a prolific poetess and talented musician in her younger years. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-7pm in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Rev. David Mason officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday at 9:45am Friday in the Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 10am interment service. Friends may leave their condolences at www.lynnhurstchapel.com.
