Mr. Glen Coakley, 56, of Newport, passed away Tuesday evening, February 28, 2006, at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. Mr. Coakley was a former employee of Maloy Funeral Home from 1977-1982. In death he is reunited with his mother, Agnes Coakley; father, Kyle Coakley; brothers, Jeff, Jerry, Neal, Bill, Holland, and Max Coakley. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Sue Coakley, of Newport; sisters-in-law, Ruth Coakley, of Del Rio; Mary Ann Coakley, of Parrottsville; and Beverly Coakley, of Newport; aunts, Mrs. Emmette Ramsey, of Afton, Tenn., and Mrs. George Wampler, of Chuckey, Tenn. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends, Bill and Karen Millette, of Cosby. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909. Cremation arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
