Holland M. Coakley, age 70, of Newport passed away Thursday March 31, 2005 at St. Mary's in Knoxville.
He retired from American Euka Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Coakley; brothers, Jerry, Jeff, and Max Coakley.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Reynolds Coakley; two sons, and their wives, Martin Coakley and wife Teresa, Mitchell Coakley and wife Robbin. He will be missed by his beloved grandchildren, Mara, Mace, Kyle and Kayla Coakley.
Holland was an avid sports fan, where in his younger years he was a little league coach for the Yankees Baseball Team. He was a past president of the Little League Football. He also was a Little League Umpire for many years.
He will also be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Sue Coakley, Neil and Ruth Coakley; and brother, Glenn Coakley all of Newport; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Coakley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pat and Jim Seahorn of Garland, Texas, Dean and Gene Fancher of Newport, Clara and Jack Reynolds of Newport, Peggy Burnett, and Francis and Dorothy White of White Pine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Newport.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Newport, Heart Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Ed Hardison and Tom Mooty officiating, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends form 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at Manes Funeral Home.
