Rev. Neil Coakley, 63, of Del Rio, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 6, 2005, at Takoma Adventist Hospital in Greeneville.
He was a truck driver and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Mosheim.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Darren Cogdill; parents, Kyle and Agnes Coakley; brothers, Jerry, Jeff, Max, and Holland Coakley.
Neil is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ruth (Henson) Coakley, of Del Rio; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and J.D. Cogdill, of Lincolnton, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Scottie and Sheree Coakley, of Del Rio; grandchildren, April Cogdill, Brittany Coakley, Aaron Coakley, and Ravin Coakley; brothers, Don Coakley and his wife, Sue, of Cosby, and Glenn Coakley, of Newport; sisters-in-law, Beverly Coakley, of Newport, and Mary Ann Coakley, of Parrottsville.
Rev. Coakley will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon June 8, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Simpson and Rev. Richard Green officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 7, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Rev. Neil Coakley.
