Blaik H Hickman of Maryville was born April 8, 1952. Blaik’s battle with cancer ended Friday, June 19, 2009. He is survived by his wife Fran, his children Whitney and Zachary, her children Debbie Garrett and David Nixon, parents Ray and Fern Hickman, Brother Frick Hickman and his wife Pam. He is also survived by many dearly loved family and friends, who made his life wonderful and whom he valued very much. A celebration of his life will be held at the Smithview Pavilion, 601 Smithview Drive, Maryville, Monday, June 22, 2009. The event will be informal (shirt and shoes required – B.H.), with a gathering of friends beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by a brief ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Respecting Blaik’s wishes, in lieu of flowers his family is requesting donations be made to either Friends of the Smokies or UT Hospice.
