Holt, Richard Nelson, age 74, of South Knoxville, passed away October 15, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Hospital. He was a graduate of East High School and a member of Woodlawn Church of God. Richard served in the U.S. Navy and was employeed by Cherokee Distributing. He loved watching and playing all types of sports. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph Nelson Holt and Rebecca Byrd Wood; sister, Sandra Holt Woodard. Survivors: Wife: Sandra Holt; Daughter and Son-in-law, Chris and Gary Moyers; Grandchildren, Melissa and husband Scott Raley, Amanda and husband Nate Stachey, Great Granddaughter; Avery Raley. Sisters, Rebecca Maples, Libby, Cloutier, Donna Beasley, Debbie Robertson and Brenda Bennett; Brother, Steve Holt and several nieces and nephews. The family will gather at Berry Funeral Home on Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM to celebrate Richard's life.
