PACK, CHESTER R. - age 76, passed away February 4, 2007. He served his country as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army and the Tennessee Air National Guard. He retired from the Knoxville Police Department after 21 years service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Volunteer Lodge #2 and a member of Middlebrook Pike Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: father, Jesse A. Pack and mother, Katherine Ellison. Survived by: wife of 49 years, Alice (Cox) Pack; brother, Wayne Pack Sr and wife Lois; sisters, Hazel Shoemaker and Glenda Davis; sons & daughters-in-law, Ricky & Melanie, Randy & Laurie, Dennis & Gina, Chester Jr. & Mavis, Gary & Cindy; daughters & sons-in-law, Katherine & Hollis Brooks, Sandy Hanah, Cathy & Terry Ray, Robin & Danny McCoy; stepdaughter, Brenda Perry; special grandchildren, Kevin & Brittany Pack and several grandchildren & great grandchildren. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev Dino Bray officiating. Family & friends will leave Rose Mortuary 12:30 p.m. Thursday and proceed to Asbury Cemetery for interment at 1:00 p.m. with Military Honors by Knoxville Police Dept. Honor Guard.
