PRICE , HUBERT EDOM - age 97, of Oak Ridge, passed away January 23, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Knoxville. He was born in Newport, Tennessee on April 27, 1903 to parents, Mose and Daisy Kendrick Price. He worked for The City of Oak Ridge in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of Claxton Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading his Bible and watching sports on TV. Preceded in death by wife, Nellie Ruth Thomas Price who passed away on December 8, 1988 and sons, Frank Thomas Price and Jennings Bryan Price . Survivors include sons, Hubert L. Price of Clinton, Don Price of Oak Ridge, Allen Price and wife, Susan, of Karns; daughters, Beatrice Westfall of Clinton, Ruth Payne of Macon, GA, Judy Hall and husband, Jack, of Clinton, Nancy Hall and husband, Steve, of Houston, Texas; brother, Ernest Price of Newport; sisters, Stella Mae Godfrey and Lois Strange of Newport, TN; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Mr. Tim Forlines officiating. Memorials may be made to The Claxton Church of Christ, 535 Old Edgemoor Lane, Powell, TN 37849. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.
