Ernest D. Price, age 90, of Newport went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Baptist Convalescent Center. He was a farmer and a member of Dutch Bottoms Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Price; son, Jay Price; parents, Mose and Daisy (Kendrick) Price; sisters, Lois Strange, Lillie Shropshire, Hassie Price; brothers, Hubert Price, and Ollis Ray Price.
Ernest is survived by his sister, Stella Mae Godfrey of Newport; grandson, Jay Britt Price; and one great-granddaughter.
Mr. Price will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 8 p.m. at Dutch Bottoms Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Berry and Rev. Manson Lee officiating.
Graveside service will be conducted Monday, March 21, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening March 20, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Ernest D. Price.
