DeArmond, Shirley J. Cunningham, age 67, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at her home. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and retired from Knox County Schools after 28 years of service, as a secretary. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Cunningham, and her parents Charles and Imogene Cunningham. Survivors include her husband, Gerald DeArmond; children: daughter, Kim and husband, Steve Williams and son, Randy DeArmond; grandchildren, Logan Williams and Shelby Williams; brother, Gary and wife, Janie Cunningham; niece, Kelly Alsup; special friend, Katherine Williams; and many church family members at Providence Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with, Dave Burnette and Cotton Kelly officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Seven Islands Cemetery for the interment service to begin at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the www.alz.org. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com.
