DIXON, FRED "Hank and Poppy" WASHINGTON, JR. - age 72 of Heiskell, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Bishopville Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. Fred is preceded in death by: parents, Fred W. and Ruth Hembree Dixon; brothers, Charles and Eugene Dixon; sisters, Juanita Dixon, Louise Evans, and Maxine Lowery. He is survived by: wife of 51 years, Barbara Dixon of Heiskell; daughters, Kathy and husband Tony Jett of Heiskell, Jennifer and husband Chip Johnson of Heiskell; son, Freddie and wife Yun Dixon of Heiskell; grandchildren, Matt Jett, Courtney Smallwood and fiancé Adam Heath, Becky Jett, Casey Johnson, Candy Johnson, Chen Chen; brothers, James Dixon of Cincinnati, OH, David and wife Shirley Dixon of Knoxville, Benjamin and wife Alline Dixon of Powell; sisters, Blanche Easterly of Cleveland, TN, Sue and husband Alan Pyle of Heiskell; many nieces, nephews and friends that he loved. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, June 25, 2007 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Ernest Wright officiating. His burial will be 11:00 am, Tuesday at Bishopville Baptist Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors at graveside. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
