Mr. Black was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Diana Black ; sons, Allen Black and John Ray Black ; daughter, Donna Ann Black ; and granddaughter, Mary J. Webb. He is survived by his daughter, Lana Reed; sons, Joseph and Matthew Black , all of Newport; grandchildren, Samantha Ivy, Cory Black , Clint and Trent Mathis, and Daniel Webb; sisters, Betty Worth; brother, Ralph Black ; additional survivors include several nieces and nephews; many friends, including special friends, Miranda, Zack, and Erin. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Carson Springs Baptist Church, 517 Johnson St. Newport, TN with Pastor John Butler officiating.
