Matilda Nadine Stinnett Shults, age 79 of Newport went to be with her Lord Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newport. She was a homemaker by trade. Ms. Shults is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertie Dennis Stinnett; two daughters, Joyce Fine and Cecilla Stinnett; three brothers, Burnett, Delmar and George Stinnett; three sisters, Evelyn Smithpeters, Willa Mae Overholt and Artell Stinnett and four grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Bud and daughter-in-law Linda Shults of Morristown, Jerry Shults of Newport, Jean Shults of Newport, Lisa Mathis of Newport and Judy and son-in-law Wilbur Jenkins of Newport. Nadine will also be sadly missed by her special friends, Bea Williams, Perry Mathis, Thomas Conway and Staff, Smoky Mountain Hospice and special nurse, Mary Hembree; several grandchidren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. The family will receive friends Friday, September 1, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Suggs officiating. A graveside service will be Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Kyker Cemetery.
