(July 21, 1944 - December 16, 2015) Christine Carol Stokely, age 71, of Cosby, passed away December 16, 2015. She was a member of Cosby Missionary Baptist Church. She had received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Cracker Barrel. Christine was also a member of the Newport Chapter 461 Order of the Eastern Star, board member of Central Charities of Cocke County, and a recipient of Grand Cross of Colors for the Rainbow Girl Assembly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Joyce Fine; and brother, Clifford Fine, Jr. She is survived by her husband Roger Stokely of Cosby; son and daughter-in-law, Roger (Melissa) Stokely of Newport; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Gary Moyers of Gatlinburg; grandchildren, Brandon and Jordon Stokely of Newport, Skyler Seagle of Gatlinburg; brothers, Nigel (Barbara) Fine, Miles (Cherie) Fine, Tyrone Fine; sisters, Cheryl Cagle, Trudy (Luther) Vinson, Benita Cagle and Heather (Larry) Shults all of Newport; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Cleo Williamson and Rev. Kris Brady officiating. Burial will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday, December 20, 2015 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Scottish Rite Cocke County Shoe Fund; in care of Jimmy Clark, 330 N Susong Street, Newport, TN 37821.
