Jerry was a graduate of Sevier County High School, Hiwassee College and University of Tennessee College of Law. He has been a practicing attorney in Sevier County since 1969. He was a member of Dupont Baptist Church and served as the song leader. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Kenneth and Bonnie Reed Galyon; and sister, Brenda Galyon Loveday. Survivors include his wife Patricia Ann Galyon; daughters and son-in-law, Kelly and T.C. Faulconer, Jeri Keneath Galyon; grandchildren, Kaylee, Abby and Tia Faulconer; sisters, Barbara Galyon, Savannah Gibbons; brother-in-law, Wayne Loveday; one niece, three nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins and their families; special family friend, Eva Davis; and his loyal office staff. The family will receive friends 3-6:30 PM Saturday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM at First Baptist Church, Sevierville. Rev. Dallas Moore and Rev. W.A. Galyon will officiate. A eulogy will be given by Franz Springman. Interment 2 PM Sunday in Zion Hill Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Powell officiating.
