Member of Marble City Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, C.M. Townsend; parents, Carl and Margie Wilkes; brothers, Charles and wife Ruby and Howard Wilkes, and Little Ralph, brother-in-law Ralph Webb. Survived by daughter, Brenda York and husband Melvin; son, Calvin Baldwin (Janice); grandchildren, Robbie York (Susan), Kevin Baldwin (Emma); four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Tommy Wilkes (Janie); sister, Betty Webb; and sister-in-law Marjorie Wilkes; several nieces and nephews, step-daughter Evelyn Goode (Ben); step-son-in-law Jim Grubb; and several step-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 Wednesday at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 7 pm. Rick Lemons officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm at Knott Cemetery for a 2 pm interment.
