James “Pawpaw Big Jim” Arthur Younce of Louisville born Jan. 11, 1931 80 years old passed away at Blount Memorial Hospital Friday, December 9, 2011. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a retired electrician with Alcoa Aluminum and was a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ann Younce; brothers, Jack and Danny Younce; nephew, John Younce Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luther and Beulah Hatcher; brother-in-law, Anderson Hatcher; brother-in-law Joe Maples.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ruby Hatcher Younce; daughters, Donna Younce of Louisville, Phyllis Younce Presley and husband Hal; only granddaughter, Mandi Presley; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Lloyd Dillingham; sister-in-law, Debbie Younce; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Eve Younce, Glen and Patricia Younce all of Maryville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Tilda Hatcher, Walter and Sharon Hatcher, Gene and Kathryn Hatcher; brother-in-law, Ed Hatcher; sister-in-law Betty Maples; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Budayr, Dr. Keifer, Dr. Nelson and Dr. Wight and the Blount Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carrigan officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
