Obituary:
Gertrude Hardin Snyder, age 84 of Strawberry Plains went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 23, 2005 surrounded by family and loved ones at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd Elmore Hardin and Annabelle Willard Hardin, two sons Roy Gathern Snyder and Jerry Houston Snyder, sister Carrie Lou Huffaker and brothers J.C. Hardin and Buford Hardin. She was an active member of Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church, her church family meant so much to her. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Buford Snyder, daughters and sons-in-law Joyce Fortenberry and Arvil of Kodak and Katherine McDaniel of Murfreesboro, grandchildren Regina Underwood and husband Conley of Strawberry Plains, Deanna Moore and husband Bobby of Knoxville, Randy Snyder of Corryton, Jason McDaniel and Christian McDaniel of Strawberry Plains, five great grandchildren and the joy of her life Ashley Catherine and Abbey Danielle Underwood, Sarah Elizabeth McDaniel, Chris and Emily Nicole Moore, sister Trula Tharpe, brother Troy Hardin, sisters-in-law Lola Hardin and Miriah Hardin, several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8:00 PM Monday, July 25, 2005 from Farrar Funeral Home Chapel, Jefferson City with Rev. Al Smith and Rev. Ronnie Bailey officiating. Family and friends will gather 12:30 pm Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Paw Paw Hollow Cemetery for a 2:00 pm graveside interment service. Family will receive friends Monday 6:00 until 8:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Don Tharpe, Gary Hardin, Rick Hardin, Tim Huffaker, Jason McDaniel and Chris McDaniel. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church or Shriners Hospital of Lexington, KY
