Selma (Sue) Vivian Ragan Solomon was born February 13, 1930 in Newport, TN and was born again at age 12. She entered the crucified life in her late 30's and ministered to children all her life. Recently she had completed a book for children with her son, Ron.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Eula Mae Ragan and her brother, Bobby Ragan of Newport, TN.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles R. Solomon, three children: Ron of Houston, TX, Susan of Atlanta, GA and Cathy of Sevier County; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and an adopted son, John Norman of Sevier County and daughter, Pat Chapman of Denver, CO. She had many friends around the world for the past 45 years. She was an integral part of the international ministry of Grace Fellowship International to which Dr. Solomon was called in 1967; ministry has been done on all six continents. She was also vitally involved in the publication of some 20 books by her husband Dr. Charles Solomon, resulting in lives being transformed around the world to God's glory. Her life verses were Philippians 3:9 & 10 and Galatians 2:20.

The family will receive friends 4 – 6:30 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM at First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge, 3290 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863 with Rev. Dale Ellenberg and Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 AM Friday in Union Cemetery, 420 Mineral Street, Newport , TN 37821 for graveside and interment.
