She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Newman; parents, Jesse and Ginny Cook McKelvey; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Whitehead) and Shane Humbert of Maryville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Sarah (Smith) and Brad Merritt of West Virginia; special niece, Katherine (Mrs. Carl) Burchfield of Maryville; and many other loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Shane Humbert and Rev. Wayne Baker officiating. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Friday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
