ELLIS, DOROTHEA INEZ CROXDALE (DOT) - of Seymour, TN. Mama joined Dad to be with the Lord, March 2, 2006 at home. She was a member of Bells Chapel Baptist Church. She and dad attended Seymour Christian Community until five years ago, due to dad's stroke. Mama was a caregiver for anyone who was in need. She loved playing with her grandchildren and, loved to go fishing with dad, now they can fish together in Heaven. She was preceded in death by husband of 62 years, Carl Ellis, mother, Mayme Lutricia Galyon Croxdale, father, Oscar Lynold Croxdale, brothers, Jack Croxdale and wife Shirl, and Kenneth Croxdale, sister, Joanne Croxdale Johnston. She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Charlene Ellis Evans and Carolyn Ellis Sanders; son, Carl Edward (Eddie) Ellis. She also leaves 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Parton and brother, Gene Croxdale; brothers and sisters in law, Herbert & Shirley Ellis, Ralph & Ella Mae Boling. The family will receive friends Friday, March 3, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:00 with a service to follow at 8:00 pm in Highland South Chapel. Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday, at Highland South Memorial Park. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Arrangements by Highland South Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations 573-7300.
