MOSS BLUFF - Jack L. Croxdale , 78, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, in a local hospital. He was a native of California and had been a resident of Gillis for over 40 years. Jack was a deacon of First Baptist Church of Gillis, and was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Grace McChesney Croxdale of Moss Bluff; three sons, Michael Croxdale and wife, Vickie, of Gillis and Patrick Croxdale and wife, Pam, and Timothy Croxdale and wife, Camilla, all of Moss Bluff; one brother, Eugene Croxdale of Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters, Dorothea Ellis of Seymour, Tenn., and Mary Parton of Boyds Creek, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren . He is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ridge Croxdale; a son, Jack L. Croxdale Jr.; and a greatgrandson , James Clark. His funeral will be at 10 a. m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, in First Baptist Church of Gillis. The Rev. Glenn George will officiate. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery in Gillis under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
