Betty Lou Cowan Suddath, age 58, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013. “Bet” was a devoted mother, sister, and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Georgia Mae Cowan; grandson, Shawn Caldwell; brothers, Bobby and Jerry Cowan; and brother-in-law, Jack Sebring. Survivors include daughters, Crystal McMahan and Rachel Caldwell and husband Kevin; brothers, Jack Russell and wife Alma, Jimmy Cowan and wife Norma, Donnie Cowan and Guyneth Ownby, Ronnie Cowan and wife Cathy; sisters, Linda Wilkerson and husband John, Peggy Sebring Turner and husband, Lloyd, Phyllis Smith and husband Gene; grandchildren, Ashley Rasar, Jessica Caldwell, Hannah McMahan, Sarah and Jennifer Caldwell; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, James Cutshaw. Bet, in her love to help others, donated her earthly body to science in the hope to help others. A memorial service will be held in Betty’s honor at the Dupont Community Center, 1720 Dupont Road, Seymour, from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 7.
