Cowan, age 59, of Seymour, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, November 20, 2012. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing, Jerry loved his family dearly and gave all he had to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Georgia Cowan, brother, Bobby Cowan, nephew, Shawn Caldwell. Survivors: Brothers: Jack Russell, Jimmy Cowan, Donnie Cowan, and Ronnie Cowan Sisters: Linda Wilkerson, Peggy Sebring Turner, Betty Suddath, and Phyllis Smith. Several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Funeral service 11 Am Sunday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Gary Cowan and Ronnie Cowan Jr. officiating. Interement will follow in Ellejoy Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN 37865. (577-2807).
