Mynatt Spence, 80, of Sevierville, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center.Spence was of the Baptist faith.His parents were Andy and Jane Valentine Spence.He was also preceded in death by three children, Max, Harold Gene and Susan Elaine Spence.He is survived by his wife, Nelle Maples Spence; children and son-in-law, Wayne and Margaret Spence, Jimmy Spence, Wanda and Gary Wilson, all of Sevierville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Paul Maples and wife, Beulah, and Freeman Maples and wife, Kate.Service is 2 p.m. Sunday at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Andy Ball and the Rev. Melvin Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Caton's Chapel Cemetery.

SPENCE, MYNATT - 80, of Sevierville passed away Thursday, August 16, 2001 at Ft. Sanders Sevier Medical Center. Mr. Spence was a professing Baptist by faith. Three children, Max, Harold Gene and Susan Elaine Spence; parents, Andy and Jane Valentine Spence preceded Mynatt in death.
He is survived by his wife, Nelle Maples Spence; children, and spouse, Wayne and Margaret Spence, Jimmy Spence, Wanda and Gary Wilson all of Sevierville; grandchildren, Mike Spence and wife, Karen, Pam and Jeff Brackins, Donna Vennable, Leslie Nagle, Drew Wilson, Cory Wilson; great grandchildren, Andrew Spence, Kayla, Molly, and Mindy Brackins, Brittany Vennable, and Spencer Nagle; brothers in law, Paul Maples and wife, Beulah, Freeman Maples and wife, Kate. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday August 19 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Andy Ball and Rev. Melvin Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Caton's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 18 at Rawlings Funeral Home. Cory and Drew Wilson, Jeff Brackins, Mike and Andrew Spence and Onas "Jock" Justus will serve as pallbearers.
