Trolan R. ( Troy ) Ingle , age 73, of Newport, passed away at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee in Knoxville after a brief illness. Troy was a longtime businessman in Newport and a very active member of the community. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Newport, member and past President of the Newport/Cocke County Sertoma Club. Preceding him in death are his parents: Link and Mary Jane Ingle ; brother: John Ingle ; sisters: Helen Hoskins, Hattiebelle Brooks, and Roberta Slay. Survivors include his wife: Shelby Ingle , of Dandridge; children: Terri Ingle Mauricio, of San Antonio, Tex., Bruce Ingle of Morristown, Jeanne Hurst of Sevierville, and Jesse Ingle of Dandridge; brother: George Link Ingle of Daytona Beach, FL, sisters: Hazel Hormon of Columbia, Tenn., and Dolly Brooks, of Alexandria, La.; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and also several nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Troy 's life was held 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2006, in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Newport with the Reverend Freddrick Long officiating and eulogy remarks being brought by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church 212 Washington Ave Newport, TN 37821.
