STILES , MAUDE ERNESTINE SMITH - age 87, of Kodak, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 20, 2001, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. Mrs. Stiles was a long time member of the Beech Springs Baptist Church in Kodak. She had resided at the Jefferson County Nursing Home in Dandridge for the last 14 months. Maude 's husband of 65 hears, Roy W. Stiles preceded her in death. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry W. and Ruby Stiles of Kodak; daughter, Marvin Stiles Merritt and husband Phillip of Fayetteville, N.C.; grandson, David Merritt and wife, Melody of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; great-granddaughters, Brittany and Megan Merritt, both of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; brother, Earl Smith and wife, Peggy of Kodak; many nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her. Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Januay 23, at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rick Loveday and Rev. Lynne Henry officiating. The family will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, at Rawlings Funeral Home to go to Pollard Cemetery for a 2 p.m. interment. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville.
