JONES, ANNA LEE - age 79, of Oak Ridge passed away peacefully at the Methodist Medical Center on Friday, December 7, 2007. Preceded in death by her parents George and Nellie Catlett. Survived by Bob Jones, husband of 62 years. Bob and Anna Lee enjoyed touring the U.S. in their RV and spent several months at a time in various locations. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jones is survived by her two sons and their spouses; Richard and Gail Jones of Clinton, Chris and Michelle Jones of Oak Ridge and sisters Mary Sue Huff, Betty Smith and Margaret Biddle. She will be deeply missed by her grandson Brandon Jones and his wife Mary Beth along with great-granddaughter Claire, of Franklin, TN and by grandchildren Mallory and Aaron Jones of Oak Ridge. She thrived on being in the sun while working in her many flower gardens and boating on local lakes. A very outgoing and social person who loved to laugh, she especially enjoyed her family and her many friends who will always remember her sweet personality and heart-warming smile. Her other interest included cooking, square dancing, decorating her home at Christmas and was known by many as the Men's Wear Department Head at the Oak Ridge Watson Department Store. She was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. The family expresses their gratitude to the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge ICU staff for exceptional care given to Mrs. Jones during the final hours. The funeral will be Sunday December 9, 2007 at 8:30 pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Walton officiating. Interment will be Monday at 1:00 pm at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 Sunday at the funeral home.
