He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Joy Makers Club and the Good Sam RV Club. Survivors: wife, Sun Cha "Sue" Byrd, Wilcox County; brothers, Harold Byrd, Okeechobee, FL and James Byrd, Sevierville, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia & Larry Garrett, Sevierville, TN, Johnnie Ruth and Tom Kiker, Knoxville, TN, Judy & Bob Eubanks, Terry & Roger Hare and Renee & Joe Hazelief, Okeechobee, FL.
