BUTLER, RICHARD WHITTLE - 58, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away at his home on November 6, 2010. He was born September 13, 1952 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Richard had a kind heart, gentle spirit and had never met a stranger. He spent many years as a promoter in the music industry. Richard had a passion for life, loved music and his family. He had returned to Tennessee in his later years in order to be close to the family he so loved. Preceded in death by grandparents, Shirley and Stella Butler, parents Charles W. and Josephine B. Butler and the love of his life, Tammie Carter. He is survived by his sister, Cynthia Lytle, (husband) John Lytle brothers, Charles W. and (wife), Terri Butler and David M. Butler and (wife), April Butler. Nephews, Marcus and Patrick Butler, Eli Butler and a niece, Eden Butler. Cousins, Shirley Ballard, Karen Motzer, (husband), Larry Motzer and Rich Motzer. Lisa and (husband) Rodney Tarwater. Laura Burchfield, (husband) Grant Burchfield and Neal Butler. A private internment service will be held to honor his memory on Thursday November 11, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Pigeon Forge Cemetery. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
