KNIGHTEN , FORREST R. age 88 of Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. He served his country in the United States Army and Navy during World War II. Preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Knighten ; parents, John E. & Henrietta Knighten ; brothers, Charles, Harry, Willard and Russell. Survivors include his wife, Odella B. Knighten ; sons and daughters-in-law, David & Penny Knighten and Don E. & Jan Knighten ; grandchildren, Nick F. Knighten and wife Kristy, Todd D. Knighten , Rachel Ketchum and husband Patrick, Daniel Knighten , Aaron Knighten ; great grandchildren, Alexis, Julia, Haley, Sierra, Austin and Paris; sisters, Madge and Gladys; brother, Gordon Knighten and wife Mildred. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Highland South Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Lee Chorn officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted in Highland South Memorial Park on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Lee Chorn officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet in the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation of East Tennessee, ATTN: Donation Coordinator, 4450 Walker Boulevard, Suite #2, Knoxville , TN 37917-1523 The staff of Highland South Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Forrest R.
