PHELPS, MARSHALL RAY - age 60 of Blaine passed away at his home January 15, 2008. Mr. Phelps attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Knoxville. He retired from Global Stone in Luttrell. He enjoyed drag racing. He was preceded in death by his father Carson Phelps; brothers Doyle and Ronald Lee (Scooter) Phelps and a sister, Brenda Faye. He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Phelps; son and daughter in law Ronald (Pea-nut) and Katie Phelps; son Johnny (John Boy) Phelps; granddaughter Amy and husband (Jonathan) Daniel; grandson Logan Lee Phelps, and great-grandson Joshua Daniel; mother Mary Phelps, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6 to 8pm Thursday, January 17, 2008 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, with services to follow at 8:00pm. Graveside services will be 11:00am Friday, January 18, 2008 at Mary's Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Thurman Pate, and Rev. Jerry Gibbs will be officiating. The family will serve as pallbearers .
