• Notes

  Kingsley Williams Macomber was for years a principal of the Academy at Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. For a time he was engaged in the silk business at Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1855 he settled on a farm in Cass County, Iowa near the site of the town of Atlantic.
