(November 10, 1927 - July 31, 2011) Charles “Lightning” Warren Boring, age 83, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the ALCOA 25 year club and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Boring. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edith Boring; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Thelma Boring, Horace “Junior” Boring, and Ernest and Shelby Boring; sister and brother-in-law, Ada and Marlow Hearon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnie Ruth and Charles Beasley; brother-in-law, Ben Rauhuff; and nephew, Charlie Beasley. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 910 Walker School Rd., Maryville, TN 37803. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Robert Lee Whitehead and Rev. Ronnie Steele officiating. The interment service will follow at Carpenters Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
