Wayne Blazer, age 59 of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from complications of a bone marrow transplant at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina Wayne was a devoted and Godly husband and father. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville and owner of Blazer Construction Company. He served as President of the Sevier County Home Builders Association. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Almer and Elree Blazer and grandparents Dewey and Sarah Thomas. Survivors: Wife: Sharon Blazer Daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Scott Finchum of Sevierville Son: Kevin Blazer and fiancée Davina Ball of Knoxville Grandchildren: Sydney and Meredith Finchum Mother-in-law: Bonnie Thomas Sisters and brother-in-law: Mary and Jennings Dockery, Eva Gray, Ruth Richey Many nieces and nephews In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, Tennessee, 37862 or UNC Hospital, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, 101 Manning Drive, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27514. Funeral service 2 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church, Sevierville with Dr. Randy Davis officiating. Interment will follow.
