(May 1, 1934 - May 12, 2012) U.S. Veteran Jesse “Uncle Bud” Collins, age 78, of Parrottsville departed this life on May 12, 2012. He was the son of the late Emma Collins and was preceded in death by five siblings Eula Rae Morrow, Kathleen Collins, Jimmy Collins, Charles L. Collins and Steve Collins. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, two special great-great nieces Annie Morrow and Lotus Moody. Uncle Bud was a kind and caring Uncle who loved and helped his family. He was blessed with special friends such as Ruth Maloy along with others in the community and a loving church family at Round Mountain Baptist Church, He will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Strange and Rev. Steve Blanchard officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Union Cemetery with military funeral honors. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Collins family.
